ParentBrief
Delete your account
You can delete your ParentBrief account, and everything stored with it, at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. This applies to accounts created on parentbrief.com and in the ParentBrief iOS and Android apps.
In the app
- Open ParentBrief and go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are removed right away.
On the website
- Sign in at parentbrief.com and open Settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
If you can no longer sign in
Email [email protected] from the address on the account with the subject "Delete my ParentBrief account". We delete the account within 7 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity (email, Google or Apple).
- Your child profiles, saved decisions, family templates and settings.
- Your check history: every question, report and analysis.
- Usage analytics tied to your account.
Photos you submit for a check are analysed and are not stored, so there is nothing to delete there.
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and billing records required by law and by Apple, Google and our payment processor (for example the fact that a subscription existed and when it was charged) are retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting. They no longer link to a usable account.
- Encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings, or, for subscriptions bought on parentbrief.com, in Settings before you delete.
