End User License Agreement

Last updated: September 17, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("EULA" or "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and ParentBrief ("ParentBrief", "we", "us") for the ParentBrief application for iOS and Android (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to this Agreement, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acknowledgement

This Agreement is concluded between you and ParentBrief only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple") or Google LLC ("Google"). ParentBrief, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the App and its content. Where this Agreement is less restrictive than, or conflicts with, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service, those store terms take precedence for the relevant platform.

2. Scope of License

ParentBrief grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, and on any Android device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. The App may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing where the platform supports it. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense the App, or use it to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models.

3. Subscriptions and Free Trials

Some features require a paid subscription ("Starter" or "Family"), purchased through the App Store or Google Play, or on parentbrief.com. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's subscription settings; deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Prices may change with notice as required by the platform; usage limits per plan are described in the App and on our pricing page.

4. Maintenance and Support

ParentBrief is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple and Google have no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App. Contact us at [email protected].

5. Warranty

ParentBrief is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple and Google will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be ParentBrief's sole responsibility. Except as required by law, the App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

6. Nature of the Service — Not Professional Advice

ParentBrief produces content-safety summaries using automated analysis, including artificial-intelligence models, of the titles, descriptions and photos you submit. Summaries can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and may not reflect a specific edition, version, cut or platform of a title. They are informational only and are not a substitute for your own judgement, official age ratings, or advice from a qualified professional. You remain solely responsible for decisions about what your children watch, read, play or use. Do not upload photos of people; ParentBrief is designed for covers, packaging and screens.

7. Product Claims

ParentBrief, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation, including in connection with the App's use of the HealthKit and HomeKit frameworks (which the App does not use).

8. Intellectual Property Rights

In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, ParentBrief, not Apple or Google, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such claim. The App, its content and trademarks are owned by ParentBrief or its licensors. Titles, cover art and trademarks you look up belong to their respective owners and are referenced for identification only.

9. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App (for example, your wireless carrier's data terms).

10. Developer Name and Address

Questions, complaints or claims with respect to the App should be directed to: ParentBrief, [email protected], parentbrief.com/contact.

11. Third-Party Beneficiary

ParentBrief and you acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement, and that, upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

12. Your Account and Data

Your account, subscription, child profiles and check history are synchronised between the App and parentbrief.com. You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the App, or from the website. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect (account email, the titles and photos you submit for analysis, child profile details you choose to add, and usage analytics) and how it is used. The App is intended for parents and guardians aged 18 or over; it is not directed to children.

13. Termination

This license is effective until terminated by you or ParentBrief. Your rights under this license terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the law of your country of residence provides you with non-waivable protections. Any dispute is subject to the dispute-resolution terms in our Terms of Service.
